The Department of Mathematics at O. N. S. Government Degree College, Devprayag came into existence in 2017 under the affiliation with Shri Dev Suman University, New Tehri. The Department shares the vision of the college of achieving excellence in teaching and is committed to succeed in this endeavour. We focus to assist undergraduate students in acquiring a conceptual understanding of Mathematics, its processes and applications through video lecture, electronic media, ICT tools etc. which orient the aspiring students for an overall development to enable them to meet the ever growing challenges of the global society with the mathematical tools.

After completion of undergraduate course in Mathematics, students can go for various Master’s programs such as M.Sc. (Mathematics), M. Tech (Computer Applications) etc. and also look for professional jobs which involve Mathematical Modelling and Predictive analysis. Jobs for B.Sc. graduates are not restricted in the field of science but also they can explore other areas like banking, management and engineering, law etc. where opportunities available are not only great in terms of salary package, but also in providing a satisfying job experience.
