O.N.S. Government Degree College, Devprayag constituted an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) on 17.8.23 as per the recommendations of UGC and Section 4(1) of the sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, merging the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee with it.

The ICC ensures an environment free of sexual harassment. It adopts a zero-tolerance policy towards sexual misconduct — whether explicit or implicit — and also provides support to those who are either studying or working in the institute by promptly addressing complaints of sexual harassment or misconduct (if any).

Activities:

• An awareness campaign on ‘Women Safety’ was conducted by Shri Anurudh Maithani, L/C Km. Seema & Home Guard Km. Sarita from Thana Devprayag on 9.2.24 in the college campus.
• A comprehensive talk on The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 was delivered. 

Formerly known as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee, it had the following objectives:

• Challenging gender stereotypes
  ·         Creating awareness about women’s health, safety, and legal rights
  ·         Promoting discussions around gender equity and gender-based violence
  ·         Encouraging both men and women to work collaboratively towards a gender-equal       society

Activities:

• A talk on awareness about what constitutes sexual harassment conducted on 3.4.23.
• Sanitary pad vending machine placed in college on 28.9.24.
